I came to the BGC with a very specific academic background in Ancient Greek history, and was looking for an avenue of study beyond that of textual evidence. The BGC has exposed me to a new world of methodologies that I can apply to the study of Classics, drawing on faculty expertise in design history, anthropology, and material culture that I would never would have experienced in a larger university department.
