This online exhibition explores the history and material culture of the 1853 Crystal Palace, the first world’s fair held in the United States. Through a digital publication, personalized audio tours, an interactive panoramic engraving, and a detailed visitor’s guide, users are invited to learn more about this near-forgotten aspect of New York City’s cultural history.

This project features interactive elements included in the New York Crystal Palace 1853 exhibition held at the Bard Graduate Center Gallery March 24–July 30, 2017.
